Hasaan Ibn Ali, known simply as Hasaan, was one of the great legends of Philadelphia jazz, and was known and respected by John Coltrane, McCoy Tyner, Bill and Kenny Barron, Odean Pope, and, really, all Philly musicians of the late 1940s through the 1960s.
