My first time to the vanguard about 1962 my girlfriend and I were 18 we got all dressed up went to the first show Miles Davis quartet was to play we ordered a fruity cocktail and waited for the show to start. trio came out and started to play and Miles never showed up ! It was still cool. Been going to VV Ever since
